As the subject of light pollution is relatively new here and its environmental effects virtually unknown, there isn't much information available to go on with.
I'd love to hear from anyone who has information to share with me.

I have read that quite a number of animals need a very dark environment so that they could sleep well. The growing light pollution has forced them to look for darker place. Therefore, this maybe one of the reason that why we don't see tiger so often. Light pollution maybe one of the factor that causes the extinction of several animals.
Sky & Telescope has an article about the effects of the lights and glasses of tall buildings on the birds. A lot of birds (millions) are dead as they are fooled by the reflections by the glasses.
