When you jump between quoting yearly acceptable radiation dosages, and the rates given per hour for Fukushima Prefecture background of 11 mSv/hour, and nuclear power plant workers receiving 20 mSv/hour, Remember there are 8766 hours in a year and radiation dose is cumulative.

I see nothing to say he is a Proffessor when I followed your link, and this is what they said about him.

I just found it :On the 16th of June 2011, we will be able to observe a total lunar eclipse starting from 1:25 a.m. to 7:01 a.m. In conjuction with Total Lunar Eclipse, National Space Agency (ANGKASA) and National Mosque will be organizing a Total Lunar Eclipse Observation Program at the Main Entrance of National Mosque (nearby the expo site) on 16 June 2011 from 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m..Public are invited to observe the phenomena through a few of telescopes that will be setup during the event. You also can bring your own telescope in this program.The first 1000 visitors attending the program will be given a tin of Eclipse Mints, contribution by The Wrigley Company (M) Sdn. @Dredwerkz It's more like a general stargazing event. The lunar eclipse happens quite early in the morning which is 3.22am for our timezone. I doubt the planetarium will have an event for this. Too late for typical audience. :P

Im just wondering if you guys have a group that gathers for stargazing sessions?

If so, where? I've always been interested in general astronomy as well as astrophotography but have been limited to time exposures and star trails with my dslr..

Just looking for an avenue to take my passion further

You're right. I gotta do more experiments and see what went wrong in the process. By the way, I do not have enough subs in terms of numbers (not exposure time) to effectively apply the median combination.

Yo, the bias, dark & flat field seem not well applied on the image. I still can see hot pixels and "donuts"
As the image scale is 1.22" and the angular size of M104 is 8.7" x 3.5", so the detail on dark lane should be ~0.35" - 0.70".
Thus, it cannot be reveal by the 1.22" image scale.

1. Very true, since we are closer to the red end of the visible spectrum, the dust becomes more "apparent"
2. How did you get the seeing? Fyi, this set of data was taken on the morning of 27 Feb.
3. The resolution of the setup is 1.22 arcseconds per pixel, i.e. the image scale. In that case, the image size is 20.8" x 20.8". I would say our setup was limited by the astronomical seeing.
4. The angular size of M104 is about 8.7" x 3.5".

A few things to note. (1) This is imaged in red and longer wavelength are scattered less. (2) The seeing was ~3", so any finer details may have been smeared. (3) the pixel size of the CCD is ~1.2x1.2", so the finest detail it can sample is ~2.4" if seeing is good. Does it make any sense? What is the angular size of M104?

The joystick I used had a connection like the RJ-45 (or RJ-13) socket. I am not sure since I didn't plug it out.
